Dr. Kwame-Biney is a marine scientist and coastal geomorphologist specialising in climate-driven coastal hazards in West Africa, with strong expertise in geospatial and numerical modelling. He has contributed to a Harvard-led project using historical maps, UAV-derived DEMs, and satellite InSAR to quantify shoreline change, land subsidence, erosion, and flood risk across Ghana, Nigeria, and Côte d’Ivoire, and is highly skilled in PSInSAR (STAMPS), Bluespot/Malstroem, XBeach, and Delft3D. His doctoral research focused on scenario-based modelling of flooding and flood risk, and he also brings professional experience in mining tailings management and bathymetric and offshore surveys, delivering rigorous, reproducible workflows that link science, engineering practice, and policy-relevant coastal resilience.
